Accents and Dialects for Video Games with Dialect Coach D’Arcy Smith
Accents provide a quick way to differential your characters and can set you apart in your auditions. We will cover techniques to approaching any accent or dialect in a physical and organic way, helping you to integrate it into the characters you create. Aspects of the accent’s placement, vocal quality, intonation patterns, rhythm, and key pronunciation changes will be covered. Participants will record themselves before the workshop and receive individual feedback and how to practice after the workshop.
Dialects will include Standard British (RP), and Cockney.
