Talk is given by Liz Drury, a freelance voice over artist.
Liz Drury has been working as a freelance voice over artist since 2013. She has a PhD in Archaeological Science, experience working as a TV presenter, and worked for 9 years as a project manager in 16-19 education.
Her voice over work covers a number of genres including commercials, telephone systems, corporate videos, e-learning, and audio tours for museums. Of these sectors e-learning and corporate narration make up the bulk of her work.
Quite a large proportion of her work comes from foreign clients – particularly in Spain and Italy. The scripts from these clients have usually been translated from their native language. Although Liz is not involved with the translation, she is often asked to proofread the scripts and make corrections where necessary, so that the language makes sense to a native English speaker.
Liz lives in North Lincolnshire but can work for clients around the world from her broadcast quality home studio. When she’s not in the booth she can be found running with her lurcher Marble, or acting on stage with a local community theatre company.
