This is a good time to up your knowledge base about anything you’d like to learn from the thousands of instructional videos on Youtube and Vimeo. Become a better engineer and mixer for your home studio. Learn the tricks of trade of Skype\, Zoom\, and Connection Open. Finally take that workshop (online of course) on the genre you’ve always wanted to try. Touch base with clients to see how they and their families are doing. Be of service to others.\n\nThat said\, take a deep breath and relax a little. No doubt you’re gonna binge watch some TV. Watch with friends via FaceTime. Read a book\, or write one. Call people who may feel alone\, especially if you yourself are feeling alone. Did you want to learn a new language? Go for it. Work out. Not at the gym\, but in your living room doing old school calisthenics. No machines\, no weights\,  and maybe some stretches and yoga.\n\nRemember\, though it might feel like you’re all alone\, you’re not. We are a group of dedicated voiceover artists that come together to work out and support one another. The intent for the workouts is for us to continue to hone our skills and raise our “booking percentage”. From the experience of those of us who have worked out together this way for over 8 years\, it is clear we have created a special community to rely on. We share information with one another\, coaching tips\, jobs\, technical advice and recommendation\, all of it. We know that while receiving is a great thing\, the power and growth comes from the giving as well\, and this is that opportunity. \n\nCost: $25 for the month (usually 4 workouts per month).\nPayments are made through PayPal.\n4-5 participants max in a group (there will be rare exceptions now and then).\nWorkout duration is 75-90 minutes depending on the size of the group.\nYou are emailed each week to confirm your participation. There are no makeups or refunds if you miss.\nIn addition to performing\, you will direct someone in their performance as well on each workout.\nWe accommodate a wide range of skill. At GFTB HQ we’d like to help with this situation and are opening up our meeting platforms to both GFTB members and also non-members of the voiceover community to join our Happy Place meetings. \nThe Happy Place meetings are non-structured\, peer-driven events where we can all jump on and just start talking. He has performed professionally as an actor across the country and internationally with Disney. OK\, that may be going too far.\n\nBut what about your VO career? This is a good time to up your knowledge base about anything you’d like to learn from the thousands of instructional videos on Youtube and Vimeo. Become a better engineer and mixer for your home studio. Learn the tricks of trade of Skype\, Zoom\, and Connection Open. Finally take that workshop (online of course) on the genre you’ve always wanted to try. Touch base with clients to see how they and their families are doing. Be of service to others.\n\nThat said\, take a deep breath and relax a little. No doubt you’re gonna binge watch some TV. Watch with friends via FaceTime. Read a book\, or write one. Call people who may feel alone\, especially if you yourself are feeling alone. Did you want to learn a new language? Go for it. Work out. Not at the gym\, but in your living room doing old school calisthenics. No machines\, no weights\,  and maybe some stretches and yoga.\n\nRemember\, though it might feel like you’re all alone\, you’re not. DESCRIPTION:FOR Vocation MEMBERS ONLY!\n\nHey eVOcation attendees 2020/21!\n\nStarting next Wednesday and continuing every other Wednesday\, Carin and I will be opening the VOcation Zoom cafe for two hours (11am-1pm ET).\n\nThis is an informal room where you can chat\, hang out or just lurk with your sound and camera off. There will be no moderator\, just fellow eVOcation attendees shooting the breeze.\n\nThis is for past attendees of the conference only – a little added perk to say thank you for being a valued part of our community.\n\nCarin and I will show our faces every now and again (work permitting)\, and I’m sure a few special guests will join too. 😉\n\nSee you at next weeks eVO coffee morning!
