Hi there!
So, I’ll start by saying that I’m a huge book nerd—HUGE—turned audiobook narrator. How did I get so lucky? Well, it wasn’t a straight path, but whose are these days? I’ve been an avid reader since I was tiny, and have been listening to audiobooks around the clock since I discovered them more than a decade ago. It was only inevitable that I found myself working in the wonderful world of books and stories.
Before I found myself in the PERFECT career, I was in search for a while—from a decade in hospital administration, to a Bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences, to a professional organizer business, to a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. You could say I’m passionate and well versed, with vast interests and a deep thirst for knowledge and personal growth. Hence my love of books! And now I get the privilege of using my passion and experience to bring connection and heart to my listeners through the art of storytelling.
My passion for great stories drives my desire to captivate audiences in a way that you simply can’t get through reading words on paper. I believe that sound is like touch from a distance. The spoken word helps people feel connected, quiets an overly busy mind, and can even help to shift someone out of negative thinking patterns. A skilled narrator uses their voice to reach listeners in any state of mind, empowering them to get lost in the story, and experience something new.. My goal is to help people escape reality, find hope, and fully immerse themselves into a whole new world. Kind of enchanting what sound can do, eh?
When I’m not bringing stories to life—or sitting with my nose in a book—my husband Joe and I chase after our two bright-eyed boys, Harold and Norman, and our black lab named Cooper. You can usually find me learning or creating something new, hosting chat rooms in Clubhouse, knitting, biking, playing guitar, or painting outside the box.
Hmmm… did I miss anything? If so, just ask—I’m an open book (pun intended).
