Eric Bauza started his impressive animation career as a character designer. He quickly discovered that bringing characters to life through voice performing is his passion. Eric is known for replicating both performance and vocals for iconic, beloved, animated characters. With a broad range, he is also known for his seemingly effortless innate skill to find the natural inner life of original animated characters. This has made Eric an invaluable performer for animated works.
Eric has been nominated for both an Emmy and an Annie Award for the voice of Puss in Netflix’s THE ADVENTURES OF PUSS IN BOOTS, and for an Annie for Buhdeuce in Nickelodeon’s BREADWINNERS.
He has also voiced characters for many feature films including THE BOOK OF LIFE and THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SPONGEBOB OUT OF WATER and WOODY WOODPECKER.
Eric voiced Marvin the Martian opposite basketball star Blake Griffin in THE DUNK TO END ALL DUNKS NIKE commercial, and opposite John Stamos’ in the SPECTRUM commercial campaign. He also voiced Lucky the Leprechaun for LUCKY CHARMS cereal and The Trix Rabbit for TRIX cereal commercials.
Eric’s resume is filled with characters in current series for all the popular animation studios. Among them: Fozzie in the hit series MUPPET BABIES for Disney Junior; SPLINTER in Nickelodeon’s new RISE OF TEENAGE MUTANT TURTLES; Jose Carioca in LEGEND OF THE THREE CABALLEROS series for DisneyLife; BUGS BUNNY, DAFFY DUCK, TWEETY and PEPE LE PEW in Warner Bros LOONEY TUNES CARTOONS. And, not that Eric would ever claim Mel Blanc or June Foray status, he has the honor of voicing 99.9% of the characters in the interactive game LOONEY TUNES: WORLD OF MAYHEM, including the voice of Granny and Witch Hazel.
Born in Toronto, his love for animation brought Eric to Los Angeles, where he lives with his son and vast collection of cartoon paraphernalia – the envy of every collector.
The Abaton Calendar is a resource created for and by voice talent, to help create meaningful connections and forge and maintain professional and personal relationships. (And hopefully, have a hell of a lot of fun in the process).
