Joe Cayanan is certified in Voice Spectrum training in using both Lessac-Madsen Resonant Voice technique and Casper-Stone Confidential Flow. He received this training from the Transgender & Gender Non-Conforming Speakers: A Course for Voice Clinicians held in Chicago, Illinois. These separate courses were over the course of three days. His primary focus and desire is to help TGI identifying people, and he is also part of the LGBTQI+ community in which he advocates and supports.
Joe has joined the team at the Transgender Health and Wellness Center and believes in the need to support Trans-Led Organizations to increase equality and equity for TGI identifying people.
Joe is licensed in the State of California and with the Transgender Health and Wellness Center is willing to work with TGI individuals wherever they are in California via telemedicine. This allows those living during the times of Covid19 and that are in rural areas to still live authentically were services are inaccessible or undeveloped.
The Transgender Health and Wellness Center will work with any TGI individual’s insurance plan to remove the burden on individuals personally so they can live authentically. The patient is active in this part of the process as THAWC advocates for your medically necessary needs.

Trans-Led requires that 65% of our staff or more must be TGI identifying. This means that the most financial return and resources return to help elevate the TGI community to be equal. Whereas Non-Trans Led is often the opposite. Our goal at the Transgender Health and Wellness Center is to elevate and advocate for our community so that they are equal to others and therefore truly live authentically free from economic violence.
