A Video Game Performance class with Randall Ryan
 |
| You score a video game role, you show up at the session and…
“What’s this? I’m voicing 2 more characters?”
This happens all the time with game projects. Therefore, it is paramount that you have the ability to shift the various parameters of your voice to bring more than one role to life. Especially since your characters might even speak to one another, and no one wants to realize it’s the same actor!
This workshop will be part preparation, part improvisation. Actors are going to choose a script that they feel they can perform well. We’ll work with that script, discussing and redirecting. Then, each actor will be assigned a differentrole, which they’ll have to differentiate from the first character and perform.
This will be challenging, but also will stretch actors in ways they may not be used to. More importantly, it is great preparation for how video game sessions often really go.
Participation is EXTREMELY LIMITED!
