Brittany Lauda is a NY Native, TX Transplant best known for her work on anime, animation and games as both an actress and director. In addition to hundreds of roles under her belt including anime hits such as Dr. Stone, and Made in Abyss, she works as a freelance voice director for companies such as Funimation, Media Blasters and Okratron 5000. She also is co-owner of Kocha Sound. Recent directing titles include the award-winning Akudama Drive, Kemono Jihen, She and Her Cat -Everything Flows-, Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These, Hensuki, Minotaur, YIIK: A Postmodern RPG (and sequel, YIIK 1.5) and many more, including hundreds of episodes of anime she was assistant director on. She’s always open to hearing and working with new talent, with Kemono Jihen and Akudama Drive being the first anime for many new actors, thanks to remote recording during COVID!
Our new ACE VO online Zoom workshop format will be:
- Before the workshop, Sara will pass along scripts/sides for the participants
- You will record yourself voicing the side, and email Sara your mp3 file(s) (The deadline for emailing Sara your mp3, will typically be 5pm two days before the workshop. If you are a late sign-up, you can send in later and will work that out with Sara 🙂
- Sara will pass along your audio files to the guest director who will review your mp3s before the workshop
- In the workshop, our guest director will give notes on the audio files, both on performance and home audio quality, re-directs if they so choose, and engage in a Q&A
