Sam Ufret of Lotas Productions gives insight on what VO casting and production looks like behind the scenes!
About this Event
Ever wonder how casting works behind the scenes?
Or thought about how to keep track of industry trends and stay relevant? What’s the best way to get in touch with production studios to start auditioning and booking with them? Or maybe how to put yourself out there when you’re looking to sign with an agency? If yes, to any/all of these, then come to “Ask a Producer” hosted by Sam Ufret of Lotas Productions!
For two hours, I’ll sit in and answer as many burning questions you can throw at me about the production side of the VO business in a slew of different topics like Casting, Home Studio Setups, Approaching Agents and more. That’s right, TWO STRAIGHT HOURS of brain picking with yours truly. Come with questions! I can do this aaallll day ;-).
Sam Ufret is a jack of all trades at Lotas Productions, working the board and directing sessions alongside Jim, then sending out casting notices with Marion.
Sam graduated from American University’s School of Communications as a broadcast major in 2015. A New Jersey native, Sam got her start in audio post grad at Federal News Radio and WTOP in Washington DC as a producer, writer, and board operator before moving back up North to work in the Big Apple.
Notorious for her hilarious casting notices, Sam brings moments of [much-needed] humor into the voiceover industry.
But be sure to ask her about animation, cartoons and video games at your own risk – Sam’s an avid nerd culture fan! No, seriously. She won’t stop unless you tell her to…
