Audiobook Narrator Workshops
~ Designed to guide you through the process of prepping and recording.
This training has helped prepare actors for studio gigs and home studio work.
Take either day or both together, depending on your needs.
Discount for taking both dates.
Please note that this is a Zoom experience and while the second session is Group Coaching, there will not be recording done on mic.

Covers approach and expectations for narrators in research and performance, and an industry overview. 1 hour off for break (usually 12:30 to 1:30).
Detailed performance toolkit covered here, with loads of value & practical info. Prep materials and follow-up with actors is always part of this workshop.

10am—4pm via Zoom
Group Coaching — allows actors to come for a while or stay for the day & learn as participants each work on one piece of copy, fiction or nonfiction, with coaching from Braden. 15 to 20 minutes per person (maximum of 9 people)
1 hour off for your lunch break.

Past participants welcome to sign up to work a new piece of copy – priority given to registrants of both sessions.

Braden Wright (Coach) has worked in VO in LA & Toronto, and has recorded over 80 audiobooks both in the US & Canada, in Studios and on his own as a narrator-producer, earning the Audible-Approved status in recognition for the standards of his work. He was a 2013 SAG-AFTRA/Audible contest finalist, has been featured in Canadian media for his narration and advocacy work and coaches through his own Maple Audiobooks. Recent credits include “Fool Me Twice,” four books in the Collected Works of Joseph Campbell series, six books by Jim Rohn, three of Jane Roberts’ SETH books as the voice of Seth, “The Curse of Oak Island” and “T Minus AI.”
He has lead workshops for ACTRA in Toronto, is a member of ACTRA, SAG-AFTRA, APA (Audio Publishers Association), holds a BSc from Boston University and has also spoken at SAG, UCLA, AFI, NALIP and The Actor’s Network/LA.
