Are you interested in the mechanics of the audition pipeline and eager to know what casting directors and development teams are looking for? In this immersive workshop led by casting and voice director Amanda Wyatt, you’ll receive real-time feedback on how to make a good impression with your audition, and learn best practices for making informed choices Each participant will have two opportunities to read. The first round is “Dealer’s Choice,” where Amanda will choose a character for each student to work on in front of the group, followed by feedback/notes and Q&A. This will be a cold read round – sides will be provided during the session.
In a never-before-done-by-Amanda twist…
Each class participant will be asked to submit a video game audition via email ahead of the class. After the Dealer’s Choice round, Amanda will work with each student individually to provide feedback on how they could plus up the audition. Then, the student will do another read on that copy live to incorporate the notes received.As always, you’ll receive a copy of the class recording.
BEFORE THE CLASS
1) All students must submit their pre-recorded audition mp3 and a PDF of the chosen copy via email BEFORE to the email address provided after signing up.
2) Audition must be from a video game (no commercials, animation, etc.). You may choose a previously-recorded audition, or a new recording of old audition copy. If you do not have copy to choose from, please contact us and The Halp Network can assist.
The class is limited to 10 people.
