Julie Wilson and Molly Lo Re from Penguin Random House Audio will lead a behind-the-scenes workshop in how audiobook producers evaluate talent and cast their recordings. Before the workshop, Actors will create profiles on AhabTalent.com and send in auditions for mock recordings. We’ll discuss these auditions as a group and vote on whom to “hire.” This workshop will emulate the casting process and will be a hands-on tutorial in auditioning via the Ahab platform. We’ll also provide feedback on how to best market your skillset, maximize the content on your Ahab profile, and get hired by audiobook casting professionals.
HOW IT WORKS
There will only be readers for this workshop as Julie and Molly will be working 121 with 16 voice actors. Actors will create Ahab profiles Molly & Julie will decide on audition material for each actor and send them a private audition request on Ahab. Molly & Julie will evaluate the audition and share with other PRH producers to pick “winners” plus there will be a Q&A. This is an incredible opportunity!
