This is included in your ticket. You will be able to choose ONE breakout session.
Adele Cutting– Getting Clued Up On Castings
Getting cast can be tricky. Video games have to be immersive and compelling and a critical part of that is your performance. Sometimes you’ll be in-booth and sometimes you’ll be sending in casting reads. Adele Cutting will be taking you through what she’s looking for throughout the casting process in her 90 minute breakout session.
Andrea Toyias – Cracking the Case: Digging Deep into Your Auditions
Casting Director of Blizzard Entertainment, Andrea Toyias, will be working with you on auditioning to give you the best chance to hit your audition target, every time. She’ll be helping you strike the bullseye by sharing insight, stories and hacks, breaking down audition copy and giving step by step pointers for every part of the process.
Dave Fennoy – From Battlefields to Galaxies – How to Amp Up Your Character Performances
Dave Fennoy is one of the most versatile and established voice actors in video games. Through his breakout session he will share his wealth of experience and leave you with a clear understanding of how to create characters for almost all situations. You’ll find out, with Dave’s fantastic teaching, how to reach the depths of your character. Whether you’ve been set on fire or under gunfire Dave will take you through techniques to deliver believable and compelling performances.
Doug Cockle – A Practical Exploration of the Concept of Truth in Acting
Exploring space? Traversing time and galaxies? You’ll need to get signed up to Doug Cockle’s breakout session where he’ll be exploring the concept of truth in acting, what it means and how it applies to voicing games. This will be a practical session teasing out how you might approach a role, create a character and actually perform.
Mark Estdale– Letting Go of Preconceived Ideas in Video Game Acting
Improvising and letting go are two crucial components of performing in video games. Casting Director Mark Estdale will take you through what he’s looking for and why it’s important to let go of preconceived ideas before you take on your next character read.
Tom Keegan– Auditioning for Performance Capture
The name Tom Keegan is synonymous with the art of directing performance capture. Tom will be sharing what he’s looking for when voice actors are stepping into a mocap suit to deliver a visually and vocally stunning performance.
