As voice actors, we ask a lot of our instruments. It’s easy to think of our voices as being in our throats, but that’s only part of the story. In truth the voice is the interaction of the whole body in conjunction with mind, emotional body, and spirit.
To truly reach our greatest potential, we need tools to carry us through the daily demands that are required of us to achieve our vocal dreams.
In this three hour workshop, we will have fun while we begin to explore how to cultivate a deeper relationship with our instruments and ourselves. You’ll learn various multidisciplinary techniques including laughter yoga, toning/chanting, guided meditation, gentle movement, as well as some traditional vocal exercises…with a twist. You’ll leave this workshop armed with an experiential knowledge about how to further cultivate your voice in relaxation and strength.
* Please wear comfortable clothes for light movement, and bring a yoga mat or something comfortable to use on the floor. Those who cannot sit on the floor can sit in a chair.
