Mini MAVO (Mid-Atlantic Voiceover) 2020 Online Conference
Given the current national situation with COVID-19, I have had to make some tough decisions over the coming months. With the guidance of health professionals and fellow VO industry pros, we have decided to modify our MAVO2020 event to be solely online. With this decision, MAVO2020 will now be known across the site and social media as “Mini MAVO2020!” That said, I still plan to have the full MAVO experience in 2021.
Please know this was not an easy decision. I hope you all understand that my intent in doing this is to keep the health and safety of all attendees a top priority. I am excited to offer our first ever online only conference and about our in-person conference that will take place next year!

I’m sure if you have already purchased your MAVO2020 ticket and paid for it in full, you‘re thinking… “how is this going to effect me?”
The GOOD NEWS is that IF you have already purchased and paid for your MAVO2020 ticket in full, then this on-line event is INCLUDED in the price of your ticket. We will be hosting a traditional, IN-PERSON event on November 12-14, 2021 and that is ALSO included in the price of the ticket you‘ve already purchased. Please SAVE THOSE DATES on your calendar for 2021!! So essentially, you are getting two events for the price of one!! I know it won’t be the same to have an on-line rather than in-person event this year, but we had to consider the health and safety of everyone involved when making this decision.
What’s next…
We have a lot of details to sort out still and we will keep you informed as details of this year’s first ever “Mini MAVO” develop! It will be a modified version of what we will do in 2021 in person. The content will be different. Some of the guest speakers from the online event in 2020 will also be there in person in 2021; with more details to come. More information on mastery sessions already booked for this year will be coming soon as well.

If you didn’t purchase a ticket for MAVO2020 yet, but you want to attend “Mini MAVO2020” – you‘re in luck because tickets will be going on sale as of RIGHT NOW. The “Early Bird” ticket price will be $160 plus Eventbrite fees.

We are offering a payment plan again so that if people want to secure a ticket and monitor the situation over the next few months, they can do that. It’s just $150 non-refundable down towards the $675 general admission price. Then a monthly payment plan would be set up to finish paying over the next few months. MAVO2020 will be our 5th Voice-over conference! The goal behind every conference is to offer unique, hands on learning and networking opportunities for voice actors in the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. MAVO2018 was a very successful event.
