In this Queer Vox Academy + The Halp Network discussion and Q&A, writer/director and game developers Teddy Dief, and Saleem Dabbous, along with casting/voice director Khris Brown, and actors Erika Ishii and August Aiden Black come together to share their insights on finding – and making – space for queer representation and expression in video games. All have significant experience working in the games industry and share a deep investment in giving authentic, vivid voice to diverse and nuanced LGBTQ+ experiences.
The goal of this panel moderated by actor and consultant Sarah Elmaleh is to empower prospective queer talent to envision the path ahead of them, to feel armed with tools for navigating an evolving industry hungry for their perspectives, and to discover the kindred collaborators and community awaiting them there.
