Go beyond the warm-ups you know with an obstacle-clearing meditative practice designed specifically for voice actors. This workshop offers an integrated approach to learning and performance through a synthesized blend of Yoga Nidra and in-depth practical acting coaching tuned to help strengthen your booth work across all genres and formats. Practice at this level provides participants with a foundational experience in the essential balance of body, mind and spirit facilitated by Yoga Nidra, and work centered around confident and skilled expression of creative choice.
Yoga Nidra, translating to “yogic sleep”, is a meditative practice done in total relaxation, accessible to all bodies. Through this transformational practice it is possible to release held patterns of emotion and restrictions of thought, creating a deeper sense of internal balance and confidence and expanding the range of possibility in both your performance and your daily life.
Come prepared to experience a Yoga Nidra practice uniquely crafted for the voice actor, experiment with body memory, spatial relationships, non-verbals and more. Sides will be available, or you may bring a piece of your choice.
