Sophie Amoss, a native New Orleanian, is a New York-based SOVAS nominated commercial voice actor, video game voice actor, and an Audie nominated and Earphones Award-winning audiobook narrator.
Her ingénue looks belie a quirky sense of humor and an affinity for comedic and eccentric roles–and this plays to her strengths when taking on various creatures and characters in video games. You can find her as Ma’ra Grimfang roaming around Blizzard’s World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth; as well as in Hearthstone: Dalaran Heist as Squeamlish, Kaye Toogie, Spellward Jeweler, and Merloc Henchman. And in Hearthstone: Assault on Uldum Squeamlish returns and Alda Petrick joins the cast of characters.
She has brought her voice to such brands as Olay, ExxonMobil, Microsoft, and was the voice of AirWick from 2014-2015.
Sophie also works as an audiobook narrator for Penguin Random House Audio, Simon & Schuster, Macmillan Audio, Hachette Audio, HarperCollins Audio, Recorded Books, Podium Audio, Brilliance Audio, Blackstone Audio, Scholastic, Deyan Audio, and John Marshall Media. She has narrated over 140 titles, and won 7 Earphones Awards from Audiofile Magazine.
She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and Columbia University, where she earned an MFA in Acting. Born and raised in New Orleans, Sophie always makes it home for Mardi Gras, and her gumbo is not to be missed. She is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association.
The Abaton Calendar is a resource created for and by voice talent, to help create meaningful connections and forge and maintain professional and personal relationships. (And hopefully, have a hell of a lot of fun in the process).
