NIWARA is a self-sustained trust, which is recognised by society for its commitment to all its residents. Our aims and objectives are to serve the elderly destitute. Once admitted in Niwara, all the services are free of charge for our residents. We look after them in every respect throughout their life. Generous people from all walks of life come forward to donate in kind and money, which we gratefully accept.
Niwara : Old Age Home Premises
Residential Complex & Dinning Hall
.We have a modern residential complex with 20 rooms , each with eight beds. Every room has toilets and bathrooms.
Residents are served fresh hot meals in the dining halls. In case of illness the meals are served in the room.
We celebrate all important festivals and all the residents are gifted new clothes three times in a year.
Nursing care and medical help is made available whenever needed..
We encourage residents to live like they are in a family, helping in any way they can, in day to day activities on the campus.
We have a library, a Bhajan group, arts and craft activities in which they participate enthusiastically. Once a year, residents are taken out for visiting interesting places around Pune.
Our staff and volunteers try to make their life as comfortable and happy as possible.
Presently, office automation is under way. All the accounts and the related information is consolidated on computers. The ledgers and accounts are audited periodically. Necessary reports are submitted to Charity Commissioner according to the rules. Niwara’s website is available for all the basic information.
The Abaton Calendar is a resource created for and by voice talent, to help create meaningful connections and forge and maintain professional and personal relationships. (And hopefully, have a hell of a lot of fun in the process).
