Rob created Voice Box after 10 years at one of the Philadelphia area’s largest casting companies. Voice Box focuses primarily on Casting and Recording voice over projects as well as providing a one of a kind training environment. The hundreds of jobs Rob has worked on as Casting Director and Engineer (and sometimes even as the voice talent) and a lifetime of music production allows him to create inspiring voice over demos. Rob maintains solid relationships with many of the area’s top voice talent and producers, and he has taught many VO workshops throughout the years for kids, teens, and adults. He has also given numerous lectures on the subject of voice over for organizations such as the Screen Actors Guild and Backstage Magazine with 50 to 100 attendees. Neill Hartley is professional actor, director and educator. He has principal roles in The Sixth Sense, First Freedom (PBS documentary) and in seasons two and three of the Netflix series House of Cards. For over seven years, Neill was seen on QVC as a spokesperson for two national companies. He works regularly in industrial and voice over projects, and has appeared in regional and national commercials for PA Lottery, PA Tourism, Auto Lenders, Benari Jewelers and TaxSlayer.com.
Neill is an assistant professor of voice and speech at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and has acted as a speech/dialect coach for several professional theater productions. He holds an MFA in Acting from Temple University.
Neill is also the artistic director of Acting Without Boundaries, a theater company for young adults with physical disabilities. In addition to AWB, he has directed for University of the Arts, University of Pennsylvania, Arcadia University, Ursinus College, Luna Theater, Isis Productions, and New City Stage Company. Neill is an instructor in our 6-week voice over class, and our voiceover for animation workshop
Before joining Voice Box, Sandy was with Mike Lemon Casting for almost 12 years serving as a casting director, acting teacher and education coordinator. At Voice Box, LLC, owned and operated by Rob Holt, former VO casting director at MLC, Sandy is the Professional Development Coordinator, where she guides aspiring and working voice over actors as they make choices about professional training. She also teaches acting and offers consultations for college and career guidance. Sandy holds an MA in theatre from Villanova University. She has appeared on stage, in commercials, feature and independent films. In the area of voiceover, she is the voice of Children’s Dentistry. Before working full-time in the on-camera and voiceover industry, Sandy headed up the award-winning Ridley Drama Group where she directed for the stage and coached performers for stage and screen for over three decades. Outside of the US, she has taught acting in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Japan. Sandy has been named to the Who’sWho of America Teachers. Sandy is an instructor in our 6-week voice over class
Sharon has been a full time actor and voice over artist for over 20 years with a list of credits a mile long. You would be hard pressed for find a producer in this market that hasn’t worked with her.
Sharon’s voice over credits include DISH Network, PA Lottery, Pandora Jewelry, Comcast, Johnson & Johnson, her character voice work has landed her roles animation and even those spooky animatronic figures you see in the Halloween stores!
On TV, Sharon has been on Saturday Night Live (4 times!), the TODAY show, Sex and the City, and is a frequent guest host on QVC. She has appeared in feature films for M. Night Shayamalan (The Sixth Sense & Wide Awake), Jonathan Demme (Philadelphia), and United Artists (Rocky V). A gifted performer, Sharon has had major roles in award winning theatre performances in New York, Philadelphia, as well as several tours…Oh, did I mention she’s also hilarious! Sharon is the main presenter at our VO Marketing Seminar and an occasional instructor in our 6-week voice over class
